After studying History and Music at Durham University, Orlando Schenk went on to study singing at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London. He has performed on operatic stages around the world, including Italy, France, Sweden, Britain and Ireland, the USA, Japan, UAE and Bermuda, working with the likes of Peter Brook, Claudio Abbado, Daniel Harding and Mark Elder among others. As a teacher he has extensive experience in singing, speech and presentation and acting training. In the speech and presentation field his work has taken him into the business sector, working with such companies as Allen & Overy, Simmonds & Simmonds, TNT Post, Ernst & Young and Airbus Industrie. As a vocal coach he specialises in Opera and Musical repertoire, also teaches students from the Rock, Pop and Jazz fields, and has given masterclasses and workshops throughout Germany (see www.Quisum.de). As an acting coach he has conducted numerous workshops, directed several productions (”Nonnsens” and “8 Frauen” , “Guys and Dolls” and “Hamlet”) and teaches amateurs and professionals regularly on a one - to - one basis in repertoire ranging from Shakespeare to Schaffer. The experience derived from working in these disparate but strongly interconnected areas led to the formation of a multi - disciplined approach that aims at allowing performers of all kinds to access their creative potential.
